New Character Screens and Info for Atlus’ RPG Baroque

Atlus has released a slew of new images for their upcoming RPG Baroque. These new images give information about some characters of the game and their roll. These are very interesting in that a lot of the characters appear to be tortured souls. The character designs are also very creative and a little disturbing with limbs being replaced with what looks like tree limbs and body parts attached to the wrong part of the body. This game is coming out on the 8th of next month for the Wii and PS2 and it is looking more interesting with every image I see. I have read it is a very demanding game though and requires a lot of patience.
Add First CommentAtlus’ Persona 4 PS2 Video from Famitsu

A new video has been released for Persona 3 from Atlus. The video came with the latest Famitsu issue and shows a lot of new details about the game. From the video it looks like this game will be as interesting as Persona 3 and it looks a little more mature and dark than the previous games. The trailer also shows new characters and environments. Both look more detailed than Persona 3 and with a grittier feel. The video also shows some of the new personas and demons and they really look great. With how well the other games did in North America hopefully this game will be released also.
Add First CommentNIS to bring Soul Nomad to Europe this Summer

KOEI announced that they’re releasing Soul Nomad by NIS to the European market this coming June. This is good to hear I’m sure for SRPG fans in Europe, particularly those who love the Disgaea series of games. Soul Nomad has been reviewed favorably since it’s North American release last fall, it scored a 75 on MetaCritic which is respectable for a SRPG, especially a niche SRPG.
Add First CommentStrategy RPG Chaos Wars is GameStop Exclusive

Some interesting news just surfaced for the upcoming PS2 game from O3 Entertainment Chaos Wars. It seems that this game will only be available through GameStop. This will not doubt be a hard to find game shortly after release so if you are interested in the game I would suggest preordering which has already started. The game is a cross-over game that includes characters from other games including Growlanser, Spectral Force, Shadow Hearts plus many others. The game is set to be released on April 24, 2008.
Add First CommentAtlus Announces Persona 4 is In Development for PS2

For everyone out there who can’t get enough of the Persona games, Atlus has just released information that they are working on Persona 4 for the PS2. The press release also states that they are working on a follow-up to Etrian Odyssey as well. I could not be happier about this. Persona 3 and Etrian Odyssey were two of my favorite games last year. It would have been great if Persona 4 would have made the jump to newer systems, but still why complain when one of last year’s best RPGs is getting a new game in the series.
Add First Comment5 New Persona 3: FES PS2 Gameplay Videos from Atlus

New videos have been posted for the upcoming PS2 RPG Persona 3: FES. These videos show gameplay footage of the characters battling enemies in the game. The transformation trailer show Aegis’ persona transforming into Orpheus which was the protagonist’s starting persona in Persona 3. Pre-orders have already started for the game at RosenQueen store and I recommend getting the game early before they they are sold out. View the full post to watch all five new videos.

In the game the world is devastated by a cataclysm that distorts the laws of nature. The protagonist awakes at this time and starts to ascend the Neuro Tower in order to save the world. Neuro Tower is a randomly generated dungeon that the game will take place in.
Add First CommentPoison Pink Prologue Videos for PS2

Here are 2 more videos for the PS2 SRPG Poison Pink. These scenes look great in my opinion. The first video shows the main character rescuing a girl from harm and in the second video the main character captures one of the monsters in her book. The official website has launched at www.poison-pink.com. There you can browse around and watch an opening video and view some game artwork. View the full post to watch the two prologue videos.
Add First CommentPoison Pink Battle and Gameplay Video for the PS2

A new gameplay video has been posted for the PS2 SRPG Poison Pink. The gameplay looks straight forward from the video and seems like exactly what you would expect from a SRPG, although the art style gives the overall tone a much darker feel. The character design also is very detailed and gothic which may help this game stand out from the pack. I am a huge fan of strategy role-playing games, so this will be one I will be watching though no North American release date has been set. View the full post to watch the new gameplay video.
Add First CommentBaroque Screens for the PS2 and Wii RPG from Atlus

Here are some new screens for the upcoming Atlus RPG Baroque. The game is going to be released later this month, so I thought I would post some screens. These screens show different stills from the cinematic parts of the game that look very dark and moody, though to me the environments seem pretty simple and a little bland. Hopefully the gameplay and animations will help bring the game to life, and from what I have read and seen that just might be the case.
