Luminous Arc 2 for the DS to Have May Release in Japan

blogimg_luminousarc.jpg

It has just been announced that Luminous Arc 2: Will is to be released on May 15 in Japan. Luminous Arc was released in North America by Atlus on August 14 of last year. The game was a solid RPG for the DS, but did not feel as polished as it should have been. The graphics were a little below standard and the gameplay was repetitive but still fun. Hopefully with this new version they will fix some of the issues of the last game.

Wild ARMs: Crossfire Gameplay and Feature Video and Screens

blog_wildarmsxf.jpg

A new video has been released of the upcoming PSP RPG Wild ARMs: Crossfire. I am surprised about how great the gameplay portion of the trailer looks. They show many different environments including cottages, mountains, ruins and swamps that all look detailed with many levels for strategy. The video also shows many of the 20 different job classes in the game. I am pretty excited about this game and it will definitely be one I will be picking up on March 11. Tales of Vesperia Header

Namco Bandai officially announced that Tales of Vesperia will be released for the Xbox 360 and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will be released for the Wii. Both titles in the Tales Series will be available by the end of 2008.

Obviously anytime RPG titles are announced for the Xbox 360 and Wii, it’s hard not to be excited. It seems like fans of the Tales series will appreciate the graphic engine upgrades that are being made to Tales of Vesperia along with some tweaking to the real-time battle system. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World’s story takes place two years after the Game Cube’s Tales of Symphonia, the sequel focuses on new characters, but the story will bring them across characters from the original cast.

Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer DS Screens

shirenthewanderer_mast.jpg

In order to get ready for the release of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer next week, I thought I would post some images of the upcoming DS game. The game looks pretty fun and the graphics have a simple charm but the reviews are not out yet so I do not know what the gameplay is like. To read the few reviews that have been given go to metacritic.

Drone Tactics and Baroque Release Dates Bumped

blogimg_baroque02.jpg

Sorry Atlus faithful. It looks like the release date for Drone Tactics has been moved to May 13th and Baroque has been bumped back for a few weeks to April 8th. It’s a slight delay to the freaking wave of Atlus titles that we’ll be drowning in come April. For example; Spectral Force followed by Baroque, Rondo of Swords, Persona 3 FES, R-Type Command, and Drone Tactics will be rolling our way, with one being released nearly every week and that’s just Atlus releases. It’s been a slow first quarter for RPGs and video games in general, but that’s going to change soon enough. Check out the upcoming releases.

Two Worlds Expansion Pack Piles on New Multiplayer Content

Two Worlds Header

SouthPeak is bringing Two Worlds fans two new downloadable expansions that add some multiplayer goodness to the game. Any Two Worlds fans out there? I have to admit, I was really pretty excited about this game based on what I heard about it’s multiplayer experience, but the demo failed to impress me. This expansion looks cool though, so it may require giving the game a second look. Check out the press release below for all the details.
